오늘도 영문법을 통해, 영어 문장을 말하고 쓸 수 있도록 기초 실력을 다지는 훈련을 시작합니다.

예시의 영어 문장을 모두 자기 것으로 만드시길 바랍니다.

1. 상관접속사 구문

○ The results of the research are both impressive and alarming

  ▷ 그 연구의 결과는 인상적이고 놀랍다

○ You must be either for or against the idea

  ▷ 당신은 그 의견에 찬성하거나 반대해야 한다

○ He neither drinks nor smokes

  ▷ 그는 술도 마시지 않고 담배도 피우지 않는다

○ Now the majority of women work both before and after marriage

  ▷ 오늘날 여성들의 대부분은 결혼 전과 후에 모두 일한다

○ We will either find a way or make one

  ▷ 우리는 길을 찾거나 만들 것이다

○ Waste neither time nor money, but make the best of both

  ▷ 시간도 돈도 낭비하지 말고, 둘 다 최대한 이용하라

○ Neither food nor beverages are permitted in the laboratory

2. 병렬구조

○ The excitement of watching sports games comes from cheering on your team, celebrating its skills, and complaining about the opposing team's good luck

  ▷ 스포츠 경기를 보는 것의 즐거움은 당신의 팀을 응원하고 그 팀의 기술을 칭찬하고 상대팀의 행운에 대해 불평하는 것에서 온다

○ Books can add to what we know, widen our vocabulary, make our character strong, and do many other things that silver and gold cannot do

  ▷책들은 우리가 아는 것을 더해줄 수 있고, 우리의 어휘를 확장할 수 있고, 우리의 인격을 강하게 만들 수 있고, 은과 금이 할 수 없는 다른 많은 것들을 할 수 있다

○ The singer is famous for her active participation in human rights movements but not for her music

  ▷ 그 가수는 음악으로 가 아니라 인권 운동에 활발히 참여하는 것으로 유명하다

○ It doesn't matter what age you are, what you look like, or where you come from

  ▷ 당신이 몇 살인지, 당신이 어떻게 생겼는지, 또는 당신이 어디 출신인지는 중요하지 않다

○ Credit card abuse is a cause not only of personal tragedies, but also of more serious social problems

  ▷ 신용카드 오용은 개인적 비극들의 원인일 뿐만 아니라, 더 심각한 사회적 문제의 원인이기도 하다

 

 

3. Review

○ He turned off the television and went to bed

  ▷ 그는 TV를 껐고 그리고 잠자리에 들었다

○ Don't make your decision hastily or you could regret it

  ▷ 너의 결정을 성급하게 내리지 마라, 그렇지 않으면 너는 그것을 후회할지도 모른다

○ She could not listen to nor could she understand what we said

  ▷ 그녀는 우리가 말하는 것을 들을 수도 없었고, 이해할 수도 없었다

○ I cannot tell whether she is old or young for i don't know her

  ▷ 나는 그녀를 모르기 때문에 그녀가 나이가 많은지 젊은지 말할 수 없다

○ Both she and her sister live in Won-ju

  ▷ 그녀와 그녀의 언니 둘 다 원주에 산다

○ Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing

  ▷ 읽을 가치가 있는 것을 쓰거나, 쓸 가치가 있는 것을 하라

○ Neither his son nor his daughter came to the party

  ▷ 그의 아들도 딸도 파티에 오지 않았다

○ What you need for your study is not the time but the will
